D75-19-411: Supporting Communication Throughout the Day - COHORT 1

Description: This workshop will focus on engaging students using communication devices/systems during classroom lessons. Teams will be shown how to differentiate instruction based on students' language levels. Specific implementation strategies, such as use of routines, prepared communication opportunities and peer-to-peer communication, will be presented. No-Tech picture/object exchange strategies can be part of a powerful communication program, often used with children on the autism spectrum. Teams will learn no- tech strategies on the first day, see examples and participate in hands-on practice.
