English Language Learners 2019/2020
Description: Registration for this professional learning opportunity is a commitment to a three-day institute. The first day will cover the creation of adapted books that provide access to multilingual learners with special needs. The second day will focus on giving students a new voice through the creation of their own digital stories. The third day will be a celebration of best practices where teachers will be able to showcase how they have applied what they have learned. CTLE credit will be given for participation in the session. The session hours earned will count toward non-ELL teachers’ 15% and ENL and Bilingual teachers’ 50% professional learning requirement on ELL/MLL topics as per Commissioner’s Regulations (CR) Part 154.
