Mathematics (STEM) 2019/2020
Description: This one-day workshop will explore assessing and implementing developmentally-appropriate math strategies and activities for early learners with of all ages. Geared specifically for 6:1:1 classroom staff or math specialty teachers of early learners, participants will target, design, and develop activities that target pre-mathematical thinking skills and early developmentally appropriate mathematical strategies for use in their own classrooms. Participants will also practice aligning pre-mathematical learning targets to the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards in Mathematics using Dynamic Learning Maps.
