D75-19-441: ELL Compliance Professional Learning Opportunity: NYSESLAT
English Language Learners 2019/2020
Description: This session will demonstrate how to administer the 2020 NYSESLAT to students with disabilities, and should be attended by Testing Coordinators and new ELL teachers who have not yet administered the NYSESLAT. Topics to be covered include the imperative of keeping an accurate testing schedule, procedure for first-time proctors, relevant dates, and test setting. A sample 2020 NYSESLAT test schedule and tracking sheet will be provided to all participants in both hard copy and electronically. CTLE credit will be given for participation in the session. The session hours earned will count toward administrators’ 15% and ENL and Bilingual teachers’ 50% professional learning requirement on ELL/MLL topics as per Commissioner’s Regulations (CR) Part 154.
