D75-18-239: Documenting a Transition Plan in an IEP
IEP Development 2018/2019

Description: This workshop will provide an introduction to the NY State Performance Plan Indicators with an emphasis on Indicator 13 (SPP 13). Participants will learn how to develop a Transition focused IEP in consideration of a students present of level of functioning based upon student needs, strengths, interests and preferences, and measurable postsecondary goals. The protocol for conducting a self-review of IEPs at the school level to determine NYSED compliance guidelines will also be reviewed. Please bring a redacted IEP for a student who is at least 14 years old and all transition-related assessments, such as the Level One Vocational Assessment Interviews (student, parent and teacher) that were used to inform the development of the IEP. This session is open to administrators, IEP coordinators, teachers, related service providers and transition team members and will address Danielson's Framework for Teaching;1e, 3a, 3d and 4c.
