Description: During this two-day training, counselors will become knowledgeable about the implications of childhood trauma on our students. Participants will learn how to identify patterns of behavior that may indicate trauma and learn evidence based practices for addressing these behaviors. Participants are required to bring an example of a trauma-related case. Skills discussed in this training are 1b Demonstrating Knowledge of Students, 2a Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport, 2b Establishing a Culture for Learning, 3a Communicating with Students, 3b Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques, 3e Demonstrating Flexibility and Responsiveness, 4e Growing and Developing Professionally, 4f Showing Professionalism
