Description: This 2-Day workshop is for educators looking to increase knowledge game-based learning and how to implement it in their math classroom. Participants will learn the history of games in education, engage in adapting games, deepening their knowledge of early math progressions, imbedding speech & communication skills, and learn about math games from around the world. The second session will culminate with participants developing, building, and testing a game to bring back to their classroom. Games will include traditional & adapted boardgames, kinesthetic learning, problem solving, digital websites, iPad Apps, and SMARTBoard activities.
