D75-16-404: Coding For Teachers & Students
Instructional Technology (STEM) 2015/2016

Description: This December Code.org will host its Hour of Code, an opportunity for teachers, students or anyone with an interest in Computer Science to learn about computer programming. The Coding PD will look at how teachers can use coding as a way of engaging students, developing math and critical thinking skills and encouraging students to learn more about the technologies they use everyday. Over the course of the workshop teachers will learn how to introduce basic computer concepts, develop a variety of engaging activities and integrate classroom technology. Teachers will leave a basic understanding of computer programming, activities using and independent of technology and a framework for a unit of study. If possible, bring one of your students to learn along side of you.
