D75-26-226: Amplify Desmos & The Math Shifts Overview
Mathematics (STEM) 2026/2027
Description: The D75 math department will guide teachers in understanding the philosophy and pedagogical approach of Amplify Desmos Math by engaging in math lessons. Teachers will also dive into the research of inquiry based teaching and explore the layouts of units and lesson plans. To begin integrating aspects of this inquiry mathematical approach to pedagogy, the Math Shifts will be explicitly modeled and discussed. *NOTE*: This training is separate from those offered for schools/sites currently participating in NYC Solves. The purpose of this training is to build knowledge for schools/sites who will eventually adapt and implement Amplify Desmos.
