D75-18-217: Compliance Professional Development: ELL Start of the Year Compliance for ELL Liaisons and Administrators
English Language Learners 2018/2019
Description: In this session, ELL compliance liaisons, both administrators and teaches, will concentrate on the proper manner in which to complete Title III plans for those schools which received a Title III formula grant for the 2018-2019 school year. Participants will be provided with examples of program themes appropriate for Title III After School and/or Saturday programs, the allowable way in which to allocate Title III expenditures, and how to use the budgeting tool provided by Central. For schools which need to update their Title III plans in order to have their plan certified/approved, based on comments provided by the ELL office, specific assistance will be provided. Participants will receive explicit instruction on the completion of District-based ELL Compliance Binder Documents, and will learn how the completion of each document will assist their school to be in compliance throughout the year. This CTLE approved session may be used as part of the 50% CR Part 154 mandate for professional learning sessions attended by ENL and bilingual teachers, and the 15% required for administrators.
