Description: Get ready to Sing, and Jam! Through a day of interactive experiences, participants will develop and deepen their understanding of communication and access to proactively enhance student learning. Teachers will discover different types of communication systems and learn how to use these systems to enhance communication, discussion, and performance. Participants will explore ways to design classroom environments, and activities to promote communication and independence. We will engage with switches, and different devices to create performances, giving a voice to all students. Additionally, we will discuss vocabulary tiers, effective questioning strategies, AAC and picture communication to reach all levels of learners. This PD is designed for Music Teachers.
