Alternate Assessment 2024/2025
Description: This full-day, in person session is will support new teachers in preparing for the New York State Alternate Assessment (NYSAA). Teachers will become familiar with DLM Essential Elements, Mini-Maps, Familiar Texts Student Learning Profiles, and NYSAA student data. They will create an action plan and timeline for NYSAA to facilitate instructional planning and assessment that supports student learning and ensures teachers are prepared to complete testing on time and with fidelity. Teachers will also complete the required NYSAA Test Administrator training in Kite Educator Portal.
