D75-22-181: Enhancing Language & Pragmatic Skills within Applied Learning Tasks
Speech 2022/2023
Description: This is a two-hour workshop is for classroom teams (teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers). It will focus on applied learning; the skill set our students need to apply the knowledge gained in school through project-based learning activities. Skills include communication tools and techniques, problem solving and pragmatics. Participants will learn about the benefits of project-based learning and be given time to plan a project for their students. They will be expected to implement the project based learning activity with a classroom, speech group, or an entire school. ASHA CEUs will be offered. (Please note: PD is virtual. The link to join will be emailed approximately 24 hours prior to PD date at which time registration will be closed.)
