D75-18-195: Meaningful Morning Meetings: A Powerful Way to Begin the Day
Literacy 2018/2019

Description: This one day workshop will address how teachers can effectively implement and embed best practice for planning meaningful morning meetings. Participants will learn various ways to implicitly incorporate instructional targets to build and grow morning meetings across the school year. Participants will engage in activities that foster oral language growth, reading, writing, mathematics, and science concepts and skills. These activities will promote generalization and transfer of knowledge and skills taught throughout the school year. Participants will learn how to pace and vary their morning meeting routines, link to and match skills and content taught explicitly through their curriculum. This course is offered to teachers in grades kindergarten through fifth grade (K-5).
