Feeding 2019/2020

Description: This 1-day introductory workshop is for speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. This workshop will provide an overview of feeding and swallowing, and the manifestation of feeding disorders and dysphagia in the school setting. Topics will include, but are not limited to: identification and assessment of students with feeding difficulties, theories of treatment, management techniques and strategies for the school setting, strategies to support mealtime safety, feeding and the IEP, and developing a mealtime plan. **This workshop is required for first year speech therapists. This course will be presented by the District 75 Feeding Team: Kimberly McInnis, DPT, and Samantha Eletz SLP.
