Description: This workshop will provide an abridged foundation of Dr. Siegel’s hand model of the brain, aka “Upstairs/Downstairs brain” and “Flipping your lid”. Providers will learn how to approach emotional regulation via the brain’s relationship to big emotions and reactions. The presentation includes ideas for modifications for different populations and how to relate the lesson to mindfulness and self-regulation.
