Description: Pre-requisite: Proof of Certification in TCI core. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention - Conflict Resolution (TCI-CR) is a 1-day training. This 1 day training will provide participants with a strategy to help young people work out interpersonal conflicts without resorting to violence. Activities include a set of conflict resolution steps to practice and an opportunity for participants to examine their own personal response to conflict. Techniques include a self assessment survey, presentation, discussion, demonstration, role play, and practice. The skills discussed in this training are aligned with Danielson FfT: 1b-Demonstrating Knowledge of Students; 2a-Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport; 2d-Managing Student Behavior; 3b-Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques; 3d-Using Assessment in Instruction. PLEASE NOTE: Participants are required to submit a copy of their TCI certicate of completion via email to ndavidson2@schools.nyc.gov in order to complete registration.
