Mathematics (STEM) 2018/2019
Description: This one-day workshop will focus on how to create, implement, and increase student understanding of mathematical content through the use of adapted math tools. Participants will see examples of math tools that engage students in hands-on activities that will support mathematical understanding of shapes, counting, number recognition, fractions, multiplication and beginning place value. All activities will be age appropriate and standard-based. Participants will follow the design process while focusing on specific math content and create new math tools that engage and support student learning.
