Transition 2018/2019
Description: Teachers who participate in the ALPHAworks Workshop will come together to deepen their understanding of using art to inform vocational training to proactively enhance student learningby structuring classroom environments, activities, and work systems. Using the Visual Arts Blueprint, CDOS and CCLS as the content focus, participants will engage in hands-on activities, discuss the accommodations and adaptations needed in order to increase independent experiences. We will review program expectations for students participating in this program, and discuss assessment & data collection, IEP alignment, and lesson planning. Additionally, we will discuss effective questioning strategies to reach all levels of learners to increase communication among students. This PD is part of a two-day series. Attendance is required on both days. This workshop is ONLY open to teachers who currently participate in the 2018-2019 ALPAworks training program.
