D75-24-115: Joint Action Routines
Speech 2024/2025
Description: During this two day workshop, classroom teams (subject/classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, speech therapists, etc.) will learn the elements of a Joint Action Routine (JAR) and how to implement this strategy within academic lessons as well as functional and engaging activities. Teams will see example JAR activities that are directly connected to academic curriculums and/or state standards. They will then be given time to collaborate with teams and other peers to plan a JAR for their students. Using a collaborative lesson plan as a guide, teams will be expected to implement these strategies with their students and if possible, video record their lesson for a follow-up. On day 2, teams will share out their routines videos, and an academic lesson or concept for future use. Please note that you must attend both days of the workshop. ASHA CEUs willbe offered.
