Description: Pre-requisite: Proof of having completed the core TCIS course. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention - Developmental Disabilities (TCI-DD) is a 2-day training, 3 hrs each day. These 2 days focus on identifying and reducing conditions and events that may trigger challenging behaviors in students with Developmental Disabilities. The course will provide strategies that will minimize challenging behaviors, focusing on crisis communication skills and on modifying the Life Space Interview.
