D75-20-4124: Foundation Skills of Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI)

Description: Live-Online Foundation Skills of Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) is designed to provide an overview of basic LSCI skills that staff can implement right away. PART 1: • an understanding of crisis; • how perceptions, thoughts, feelings, and behavior relate; • LSCI’s Conflict Cycle; • strategies for supporting students. PART 2: Continued exploration and practice of basic LSCI skills: • an understanding of the effects of stress on behavior; • self-care and calming strategies; • practicing listening skills; • teaching pro-social behavioral skills; • making a connection to social-emotional learning (CTLE available for this PD)
Notes: This is a 1.5 hr Live Workshop in collaboration with the PBIS Office and Special Education Office NYCDOE.
