D75-19-450: Planning Instruction for ELLs with Special Needs
English Language Learners 2019/2020

Description: This professional learning opportunity will explore the many components of planning effective instruction for ELLs with special needs. Among the topics to be covered are an overview of the Next Generation Learning Standards, analyzing data to support instructional planning, developing language objectives, and how these come together in the design of thematic units. CTLE credit will be given for participation in the session. The session hours earned will count toward non-ELL teachers’ 15% and ENL and Bilingual teachers’ 50% professional learning requirement on ELL/MLL topics as per Commissioner’s Regulations (CR) Part 154.
